Series Statement:
Each painting of the Range series presents cavernous and stratigraphic marks along with those of the skeletal and visceral. The title, Range, reflects a double meaning in the duality of figuration and expansive space: (1) range as spatial grandness, and (2) range as range of motion, concerning the extent of mobility within a given bodily movement.
